At our centre, children’s safety is always our top priority. Before any excursion or activity outside the centre, we complete a Risk Assessment and Management System (RAMS). This is a safety planning process required under the New Zealand ECE Licensing Criteria.
A RAMS helps us carefully identify any possible hazards, assess risks, and plan how we will manage them so children can explore their community safely. It includes details such as supervision levels, travel arrangements, and any safety precautions needed for the environment or activity.
Parents are welcome to view the RAMS for any excursion before giving permission for their child to attend. This ensures you can feel confident that all reasonable steps have been taken to keep children safe while they learn and explore beyond the centre.
